CONCERTS

SONGS OF HOPE FOR A PLANET IN PERIL

“Hope is an ever winding road that we must travel….”  These are the words of a new work written specially for the choir by John Cameron to conclude our concert celebrating the world in which we live and examining the effects of global warming.  Using music, both familiar and new, interwoven with texts performed by The Slapton Players, our latest concert will entertain as well as challenge as we face one of civilisations greatest threats.

The concerts will be followed by the launch of a short film commissioned for the “Chalk, Cherries and Chairs” project by Chiltern National Landscapes. The project connects local people to their landscape and the film features the choir singing “Beacon” from “Beacon - A Celebration” by John Cameron.
